finished with ski tour. most fun ever. for the net few days i was booking me in on to a campground. drying my tent, my trekking gear and washing my cloth, but most of all is slept ;-) i was done for two days ;-)
than the next trip was starting. up to the north cape. 600 km a long the fjords and through a beautiful country side.
per olav, his daughter linnea and me with a present of him. a typical norwgian timber cup.
linnea. one more signature on my car
michi, the women i did get the number from per olav. she and her family lives just a couple of kilometers before alta. they have huskies and bernd her husband is racing the biggest husky race with these beautiful animals. after a good meal she showed me the dogs and destiny kept going. she did give me a number from a guy in straumen, where i probably could get work, but later to this guy. thanks michi cool chick you are.
impressive creatures. just loved it.
lula(car) what are you doing to me, i haven't even started the difficult part of my trip and you give me already headaches. in atla in the workshop perolav did give me the number. germund a magician on cars. he was laughing when he saw my lula and the trip i wanna do, but no worries he took the time to look after her.and fixed in no time. cheers germund a cool work shop you have and a cool man you are. he did even want to have money to fix the car. he's words with a smile: this is going on me, you will need your money. he invited me for a coffee and he, his colleges and me did have a couple of laughter.
germund checking my car
and it was not just a normal car mechanic
no it was a tuning shop for stunning cars, oltimer, street racers and of course my lula ;-)
woohoo, i am there, but if you go ever to the nord cap take a big wallet with you. it is a touri-nap. they do it perfectly. you don't have to pay the lot in the first place, no, always a few kilometers apart they charge you another time. if you pass the first check point you are pretty much in the trap. bastards. ok, it is pretty cool i just don't like it if you you have to pay so much money to see these beautiful spots in the world. they should be free to learn that beauty not always have to be expensive. but that is just how i am thinking.
stockfish on the way. in the early days that was norway biggest export item. they dry the fish just on the air and it provent him to go go off. so in the world wars it made him a very precious food. it is taff to eat when it is still dry and it stinks like hell. apparently there are ways to cook to make a beautiful dinner. have to try that one day ;-)
my first night on the island. i think it was so fare the coldest night. at least it felt like it. i don't know if it was the cold or just the wind, which was so heavy that i thought my car won't stay up very long.
round about 11.30 at night
a bunch of reindeer in the morning
cool to see how they spread out for the few green patches between the snow fields
Danke für die neuen Fotos.
